Checking-In

Everything you need to know about checking in at Monroe Regional Airport (MLU).

Arrival

Arrive at least 90 minutes before a scheduled flight departure.

At the Airport

Once you arrive, for the safety and convenience of our customer, passengers may be dropped off and picked up in front of the main terminal building. Visitors are allowed to wait in vehicle at curbside, provided you do not leave it unattended. Unattended vehicles will be ticketed and towed at owners expense. If your plans require you to wait for a long period of time, we ask that you park in the appropriate parking areas.

Before Check-In

Passengers can take several actions before a trip to help ensure a smooth check-in process:

  • Pack carry-on luggage in a manner suitable for Transportation Security Administration (TSA) security screening
  • Understand the different parking options available to you.
  • Check your flight status
  • Leave checked bags unlocked or use one of TSA approved locks, to accelerate your luggage screening by TSA.
  • Have your photo ID (I.E. driver’s license, Passport) available when at the airline ticket counter to check-in and claim your boarding pass.
  • Once you have checked in, head to the security checkpoint with photo ID & boarding pass ready and available.

We suggest passengers wait in our meet and greet area, when TSA is closed, to relax and enjoy the airport’s restaurant and/or bar before your flight.

Self Service Check-In

Self Service Kiosk are offered by the airlines in the ticketing area.

The Kiosk is a quick, easy, and secure alternative to traditional check-in desks. Use a major credit card, frequent flyer card or driver’s license/passport with a magnetic strip to verify your identity. Once you have printed your boarding pass, take your checked baggage to ticket agent and then proceed to the security checkpoint. If you have no bags to check please proceed directly to the security checkpoint.

Airline staff will be available to assist if needed.

If there is no kiosk available, proceed to ticket counter to check-in with an airline agent.
