Monroe Regional Airport has taken a major step into the world of wireless communication and its travelers will reap the rewards.
Free high-speed wireless Internet service is now offered throughout the Monroe Regional Airport. Now passengers waiting for their flights at the gate, lobby, or food area can access the Internet with their laptop computers or PDAs (personal digital assistants) – without any fees.
All that is needed to access the Internet is a laptop computer or PDA equipped with a WiFi card. Through the 802.11b wireless network at Monroe Regional Airport, travelers will experience Internet connections at speeds faster than many broadband services.
Monroe Regional Airport is among only a few airports equipped for wireless communications in the country and one of the only ones that does not charge a fee.
“We are very excited to bring a Wireless Communications Access System to Monroe Regional Airport. This will especially help the business traveler deal with the demands of traveling for work. For Monroe Regional Airport, it is another way to enhance its already glowing customer service reputation.”
This state-of-the-art wireless system will better serve the telecommunications needs of passengers, tenants, employees, and patrons of the airport. It is another advance in providing our customers with outstanding service while utilizing cutting-edge technology.
