We are pleased to announce the selelction of Kentoni Byrd as the new General Manager at Monroe Regional Airport (MLU) for Envoy and American Airlines effective immediately.
Kentoni began his aviation carreer in March 2002 as a station agent for Atlantic Southeast Airlines in Chattanooga, TN and would eventually be promoted to Lead Agent. Shortly after, he left aviation to pursue a career as an elctrical technician by attending Chattanooga State College. After completing his courses, and working in the field for a period of time, he was offered an oppotunity in aviation again with Delta Global Services (DGS). He started as a Station Agent and promoted to Supervisor within six months. In 2014, he relocated to Monroe, LA to work at MLU as a Supervisor. Then, in 2016, with no opportunities for advancement, he left DGS to join the Envoy Team at MLU. Once again, Kentoni wanted to advance so he became a Lead Agent in 2017 and Supervisor in 2018. Most recently, he has been the acting GM/GMD for the Envoy station.
While away from work, Kentoni enjoys his role as a father of two boys, being with his family. watching sports, and listening to music. Kentoni says he plans to contribute to the overall success of the company while striving for excellence through continuous improvement.
